Civil Designer
As a Civil Designer, you’ll contribute to the successful delivery of a variety of civil projects by producing clear, accurate, and constructible civil designs and drawings. You’ll bring engineering concepts to life through thoughtful design and collaboration, while continuing to grow your technical skills and project experience. Working closely with engineers and fellow designers, your work will support efficient, high-quality outcomes and help us design better futures, differently.
Responsibilities:
Design and Drafting
Prepare detailed civil design models and drawings using 12D, Civil 3D and AutoCAD in accordance with company and client standards.
Contribute to the design of earthworks, roads, drainage, sewer, and water infrastructure across a variety of civil projects (land development, industrial, commercial, defence, and infrastructure projects).
Develop accurate documentation suitable for tender, construction, and as-built stages.
Maintain drawing accuracy, version control, and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and local authority/Water Corporation requirements.
Assist with checking and reviewing design outputs to ensure quality and constructability.
Project Support
Support Senior Engineers and Designers with the preparation of design documentation, cost estimates, and technical reports.
Contribute to design coordination and quality assurance processes across multiple active projects.
Liaise with clients, councils, and service authorities as required to clarify design details, resolve technical issues, or coordinate approvals.
Assist in delivering design packages on time and in line with agreed project schedules.
Collaboration and Development
Work collaboratively within the Civil Engineering and Design team, including offshore team members when required.
Participate in internal design reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Actively engage in professional development and build proficiency in 12D, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
Seek feedback and mentorship from senior team members to continually refine technical capability and design judgment.

Experience & Qualifications:
3 to 5 years experience in civil design/drafting within a consulting or engineering environment.
Certificate or Diploma in Civil Design (or equivalent experience), with proven ability to use 12D and/or Civil 3D for detailed civil design and modelling.
